THE
MISSION
York United Soccer Club's (YUSC)
first team
took the pitch in 1989, and has been developing impact players
ever since. As a non-profit 501(3c) corporation, YUSC has
remained true to its founding principles, which have included
the following for boys and girls under the age of 19 years old:
 |
Develop advanced soccer skills |
 |
Foster, promote and advance the concepts of competitive
athletics |
 |
Promote good sportsmanship |
 |
Encourage
competition at the
state, national and international levels |
COACHES & TRAINERS
At
YUSC, high standards are placed on our selection of coaches and
trainers. All incoming coaches and trainers are interviewed by
a Coach Coordinator and selected Officers or Directors, and are
approved by the Board of Directors. Each team is required to
offer professional level training for its players. Trainers
typically have played at the college level or professionally.
Obtaining advanced levels of coaching licensure is encouraged
for all coaches and trainers, which is paid for by the club.
THE
RESULT ~ THE PLAYERS
York
United players are dedicated and focused athletes, who are
expected to train at their highest level. They are not only
playing to better their own performance, but are learning the
benefits of helping their teammates play at a higher level.
Conduct and attitude on and off the field are virtues the club
promotes.
